„Like most transport companies, we are taking advantage of a change in the law which, as of July this year, allows a surcharge of up to CZK 2,500. The increase, which we are applying for the first time since 2017, takes into account inflation, among other things,“ says Zdeněk Abraham, director of the transport company and chairman of the board of directors.

 

The new amount of the surcharge is set out in the contractual conditions of carriage valid from 1 January 2026. The basic surcharge for a journey without a valid travel document is CZK 2,000 (the fare is added to this).

 

„The discounted rate for passengers who pay the surcharge on the spot at the check-in or within three working days is also increased. In this case from CZK 500 to CZK 1,000,“ adds Director Abraham.

 

The possibility of reducing the surcharge to CZK 50 in the situation where the passenger additionally proves that at the time of the inspection he/she had a valid non-transferable (personalised) time ticket or was the holder of a card entitling him/her to free transport - within three working days - remains unchanged.
